Return yourself to the library!

Autumn is a wonderful time to return yourself to the library! Reconnect with the community, learn new skills and hobbies, and enjoy the wide variety of services and experiences available.

We are very happy to share that proof of vaccination is no longer a condition of entry to Your Library. Bookings are also no longer required for Storytimes at all libraries, aside from Miller's Homestead and Montrose (due to room size). One less thing to have to think about in the morning!

Our heartfelt thanks to our members for your support and understanding during what has been a very challenging time for all.

Meet Simon Rowell

Meet author Simon Rowell, whose first book The Long Game is about a murder on the back beach at Portsea. Simon lives in country Victoria and his desire to build up the sort of life experience that leads to great writing has seen him undertake a broad range of jobs in various locations before a 'tree-change' led to a full-time writing career.

Meet the artist: Brenda Page

Meet local artist Brenda Page at Belgrave Library to learn about her practice, screen printing and work with glass.

Brenda focuses on sculpting and glass casting using a variety of kiln forming techniques, also incorporating screen printed images in and on the glass.

Help us create over 300 handmade crochet granny squares to decorate and display a magnificent Community Tree throughout December at Mountain High Shopping Centre, Bayswater. Download the crochet pattern to get started.

Realm ArtBoxes: July - August exhibition

We are seeking artists for our upcoming ArtBoxes exhibition at Realm, with the theme 'Looking up'.

The Realm Library ArtBoxes are a series of display spaces set into the 'wall of wonder', a constantly refreshed display of new books. The ArtBoxes feature works from emerging and established artists. Click here to view the brief.
