The Reconnect Festival is about bringing our community back together.
Through engaging talks, practical workshops, and exciting new initiatives, we will explore the themes of community, literacy, time & space, and sustainability, to reconnect you with your library, with your Council, and with each other.
Festival ambassador Brian Nankervis will join Maroondah Councillors to announce the festival program and speak on the value of community connection. Refreshments will be provided. Tues 27 April, 6:30pm, Realm.
What can you do to reduce your environmental impact? What role can one person play in saving the planet? Craig, famous for his work with ‘The Chaser’ and for going through your bins on ‘The War on Waste’, will show you the way.
The subject of Sarah Krasnostein’s hit 2017 biography ‘The Trauma Cleaner: One Woman’s Extraordinary Life in Death, Decay & Disaster’, Sandra will tell her extraordinary story, and share how connecting to others is the highest calling of all.
The Writing the Rainbow Festival — celebrating LGBTIQA+ writers and readers — is back in 2021. This year’s festival-within-a-festival features an exciting line-up of presenters!
