Mindful breathing

Join the amazing Kathy Jerin, registered senior meditation teacher and Heartmath trainer, for an introduction to mindfulness.

In this session we will focus on mindful breathing - your breath is one of your body's greatest natural healing resources. Learn how breath is used as a tool for reversing the effects of stress.

A StrokeSafe presenter from the Stroke Foundation will cover a range of issues that will help you better understand stroke and how it can be prevented. This includes:

Meet Laura Waters

Author, speaker, long-distance hiker, and nature nomad Laura Waters decided to hike 3,000 Km around New Zealand after spending a decade in the corporate world. In her book Bewildered, Laura describes how she discovered the bliss there is in living a simple life and finding courage and clarity in her true self. 

Pasta making demonstration - with Nadia from The Vegan Italian Kitchen

Nadia Fragnito will be showcasing a favourite regional pasta recipe from her cookbook A Vegan Summer in Southern Italy.

Nadia is an in-demand vegan Italian expert, author of two cookbooks, and a regular guest on Channel 10's Freshly Picked with Simon Toohey. She featured on SBS' The Chefs Line and was interviewed by MasterChefs Melissa Leong for SBS Food. 

Copies of her book will be available for sales & signing.

Creative writing with Arrabri Community House

at Boronia Library

Join with like-minded people, in a relaxed encouraging environment, to talk, write, read and be inspired. Classes include instruction in the craft of writing to help you build a folio of work.

Beginner writers welcome. Minimum Year 10 English and good communication skills are recommended.

Poetry workshops

Join 2020 Australian Poetry Slam Champion, Ren Alessandra, for two spoken word workshops in preparation for Realm's inaugural poetry slam.  Ren is an advocate for poetry and was a judge at the 2022 Victorian Premier's Literary Award for Poetry.

After the workshops, come along and find your voice at Realm's inaugural Poetry Slam! If you have a story to tell and the guts to tell it, show up and tell your truth on Fri 8 July, 5:30pm at Realm.
