The weather is still warm, but summer is drawing to a close. Happily, there are lots of events to look forward to as we move into autumn! The BIG Summer Read has now concluded. The statewide winner will be announced on 12 February. Our Your Library winner will be announced in coming days. It’s your last chance to vote in Reader’s Choice, which ends on 11 February. Your favourite read of 2023 can be Fiction or Non Fiction, any format, Adult or Children’s, a brand new release or a classic that you’ve never read before. Miller’s Homestead is hosting the B is for Bravo exhibition during opening hours, until 15 March. The exhibition of extraordinary dioramas by author/illustrator Kevin Burgemeestre celebrates 100 years of aviation and introduces children to the phonetic alphabet. Don't forget, entrance to Miller's Homestead is free! Meet author Robyn Bishop at Yarra Junction Library, on 29 February at 2pm. Robyn’s historical novel, The Rust Red Land, is based on the life of her grandmother, Matilda Crawford. Our autumn 'What's on' will be available on our website and in branches in early March. We look forward to welcoming you to Your Library soon! |
