Special Storytimes

Storytimes are run during school terms. Regular storytimes will resume on Monday 15 July.

During school holidays, we run a range of other events for kids of all ages. Subscribe to our Children’s Newsletter to find out about upcoming kids’ events as soon as they’re announced.

Chinese Storytime / 中文故事会

Our friends at A Little Chinese Adventure, Jenny and Jingjing, are so excited to offer Storytimes in Chinese at Bayswater, Knox, Realm and Rowville Libraries. These storytimes are exclusively in Chinese, but are open to all children and their families.

故事会时间11:00-11:30。故事会免费。欢迎有0-6岁儿童的家庭来参加。故事發生在每週五，学校假期除外。查看日历以了解故事日期。

Storytime Italiano

Introduce the Italian language to your little ones with stories, songs, sensory games and craft. It’s all in Italian for children aged 0-6 years. Please email [email protected] to reserve your place. Storytime in Italiano is supported by the Knox City Council Community Development Fund.

Gently Gently Storytime

These storytimes are aimed at children who may find our regular storytimes overwhelming. Join us for stories, songs and rhymes for children aged 3-6 years. Sessions will run for 20 – 25 minutes, followed by an activity. Families and caregivers are welcome to stay afterwards to socialise.

Small Group Storytime

A special small group storytime for families who may feel overwhelmed by our large storytime groups. All families are welcome. Join us for stories, songs and rhymes for ages 0-6 to support your child’s development.

Watch stories come to life at home with Story Box Library. Enjoy books by Australia’s favourite authors read to you by Australian actors, authors, illustrators and comedians. There are hundreds of stories available (including many in Auslan), with new stories added every week.
